　　Tampa. Ahora sí que hay ambiente de negociación. Maripily y Roberto Alomar podrían dejar de verse las caras para siempre al no tener que volver a un tribunal de esta ciudad floridana, si es que tienen éxito las negociaciones que emprenden sus respectivos abogados en torno al divorcio de esta pareja puertorriqueña, y también con respecto a una orden de protección que pide la modelo contra el ex beisbolista.

　　“No me interesa el dinero, pero quisiera que hubiera un acuerdo ya para acabar con todo esto y por el bienestar mío y el de mi hijo (José Antonio “Joe Joe” García Rivera, de ocho años de edad)”, expresó a este periódico la empresaria al salir de la sala 302 del decimotercer circuito de la corte de Florida, en el condado de Hillsborough.

　　“Lo que queremos es que él (Alomar) no tenga estrés y que ella (Maripily) no lo haga sentir incómodo con las cosas que tiene para decir. Él quiere llegar al Salón de la Fama del Béisbol y nosotros, como puertorriqueños, estaríamos contentos si eso sucediera”, agregó Ricardo “Rick” Calzada, representante legal de la comerciante junto con Lee Dorough. La primera vista de divorcio está pautada en esta corte para el 23 de noviembre, cerca de la fecha en la que los votantes de esa organización deportiva reciben las boletas para hacer sus elecciones.

　　El hijo del ex baloncelista Ricky Calzada se sostuvo en que pide para su representada “la mitad de los bienes del matrimonio y que pueda continuar su vida sin que él (Alomar) se meta… Que ambos continúen con sus vidas normales”.

　　Ayer jueves, el juez Raúl Palomino encabezaría una audiencia en la que la ex animadora televisiva argumentaría sobre su solicitud de la extensión permanente de una orden de protección que radicó contra su aún esposo, luego de denunciar haber sido víctima de violencia doméstica por parte de él. El togado la aplazó por tercera vez, fijando el 28 de septiembre, a la 1:30 de la tarde, como fecha para volver a escuchar a las partes, teniendo en cuenta que esta vez lo que podrían informarle sería el resultado de la mediación entre las partes.

　　Según Calzada, este paso ocurrirá el jueves y se aprovechará, de una vez, para llegar a acuerdos sobre el divorcio. Esta reunión con la defensa de Alomar, compuesta además por Patricia Kuhlman, es privada y durará “posiblemente todo el día”.

　　“La mediación es un recurso que la ley de Florida ofrece para hacer resoluciones en los casos civiles como éste (el de la orden de protección). El abogado de Alomar (David Maney) me llamó para continuar con la vista. Yo le dije que estaba disponible para eso, siempre y cuando hiciéramos negociaciones de buena fe. Y si es cierto que vamos a hacerlo, vamos a hacerlo ahora, y no más tarde”, explicó Calzada.

　　“Las vistas en la corte seguirían si no llegamos a acuerdos para los dos casos: el de violencia doméstica y el del divorcio”, añadió.

　　Hace dos semanas, Maney y Kuhlman sometieron una demanda de divorcio cuya respuesta hubiera tenido que estar en el tribunal ayer. Calzada emitió una moción que busca extender el tiempo para esa contestación, de manera que, tomando en cuenta el resultado de la reunión de este jueves, pueda revisar la contrademanda que tenía lista y que Maripily describió a este diario como “fuerte y cargada”.

　　La dueña de Maripily Boutique lució en esta ocasión mejor semblante que en las dos vistas pospuestas. Es que el miércoles recibió a Joe Joe en la residencia matrimonial en esta ciudad.

　　Designers scrapped flashy embellishments and focused on rich fabrics – velvet, lace, leather – that stand on their own as wearable art. In that spirit, we set our fall fashion shoot against the classic paintings and sculptures of the European galleries at the Museum of Fine Arts.

　　Prezentatoarea emisiunii „Project Runway”, supermodelul Heidi Klum, a cucerit audienţa cu o rochiţă Marchesa neagră, mini, decorată cu trandafiri delicaţi din tul, la care a asortat un colier fabulos creaţie Lorraine Schwartz, pantofi Christian Louboutin şi o pereche de picioare bronzate, interminabile.

　　Eva Longoria Parker, protagonista din super-serialul „Neveste disperate”, a ales să poarte la decernarea premiilor Emmy o rochie Black Label Chantilly Rose Lace, strapeless, neagră, lungă, tip sirenă, cu aplicaţii fine, semnată Robert Rodriguez, pe care a combinat-o cu un plic cutie negru, împodobit cu paiete.

　　Tot într-o rochie maxi s-a îmbrăcat şi Kelly Osbourne, iar silueta pe care a afişat-o şi talia de viespe au lăsat publicul cu gura căscată de admiraţie! 　　There were little black dresses and long black dresses. The point is, the Emmys proved that black is back.

　　The red carpet of the Emmy Awards was the perfect foil for the super-chic black gowns, and though many of the stunners are women of a certain age, there’s nothing about the ensembles on various sexy stars that say “old.”

　　’Project Runway’ host Heidi Klum’s chic black mini-Marchesa was so short, the only accessories she needed were her long, lean, tan legs and black patent Christian Louboutin shoes.

　　Wearing the teeny-tiniest waist we’ve ever seen on her, designer wannabe Kelly Osbourne rocked a black Tony Ward dress that was flatteringly draped on top and fashioned in a diamond pattern all over the sleek skirt.

　　Victoria Beckham’s petite BFF Eva Longoria Parker appeared larger than life in her strapless Robert Rodriguez Black Label Chantilly Rose Lace dress, which had little ruffled flowers embroidered on the fishtail hem.

　　Julia Louis-Dreyfus, carrying a Christian Louboutin “Pharaon” black satin clutch, looked smokin’ hot in a Narciso Rodriguez gown (just as we predicted!) that had a sheer panel through the midsection. This from a woman who admitted to E! that she was taking her 18-year-old to college tomorrow. Wow!

　　And Edie Falco made us forget that she made garish dressing fashionable on “The Sopranos” by donning Christian Louboutin “Champus” satin sandals with her super-sophisticated one-shoulder draped gown that was positively Grecian goddess

　　Most women have a desire to look and feel good. During a ladies-only fashion show in Tenino on Sunday, multiple business women and friends gathered in a shady backyard to celebrate being female.

　　“It’s all about being a woman,” said hostess and fashionista Norean Warren, who owns Tuto’Cose Feminina in Tenino.

　　Five models sizes 0 to 10 walked the brick runway wearing an assortment of high-end fashions from Warren’s shop, which garnered much praise from the nearly two dozen women in attendance.

　　Warren has operated her apparel and accessories shop for the past three months out of the same building as The Ironworks Home and Garden Decor at 224 Sussex Ave. W. She may have spotlighted some of her own items, but she said the day wasn’t all about business.

　　“This was really prompted by all of the beautiful women I’ve met since I’ve been here,” Warren said.

　　Models Trisha Gonzalez, Brianne Boyd, Jackie Nickols, Kelli Faust and Anne La Zara all volunteered during the course of the event’s two-week preparation. Warren said she had met Nickols only days before and was thrilled with the turnout and participating models.

　　“The models really just fell into my lap,” Warren said.

　　Representatives from other Thurston County businesses spoke about female-specific products designed to make women feel good.

　　Ladies highlighted skin care products, nail care procedures, massage therapy, hair care, jewelry, healthy drinks and even undergarments designed to stimulate weight loss.

　　Gloria Peach, a certified graphoanalyst and handwriting therapist from Yelm, offered free demonstrations of how she analyzes a person’s handwriting to pinpoint personality and character traits.

　　She looks at how a person slants and loops their letters, how they cross their Ts and dot their Is, how hard they push when writing and how they space their writing.

　　“You write automatically from impulses in your brain,” Peach said. “There are 115 different strokes I look at.”

　　“Everything tells me something.”

　　Given the time, she can educate an individual on how to alter their handwriting to change specific characteristics, such as confidence, honesty, laziness and different tendencies.

　　“If you change your handwriting, you change your life,” Peach said.

　　“When I’ve got it, I’ve gotcha — I know who you are.”

　　Patricia Geppert, a Tumwater woman who applied the models’ makeup, was one of several women to say the event was fabulous.

　　Warren, who put the show together rather quickly, wasn’t sure of the turnout, but said she was pleased with how her first fashion show went.

　　She plans to host more ladies-only fashion shows in the future, ideally in bigger locations with more people participating. Future events would encourage networking as well.

Guapísima como ya la hemos podido ver en enlaces anteriores, Doña Letizia volvió a deslumbrar con un vestido de inspiración griega, eclipsando incluso a sus cuñadas Cristina y Elena.

　　En un ambiente lleno de encanto y un destino paradisíaco, Nicolás de Grecia y su ya mujer Tatiana Blatnik se dieron el ‘sí quiero’ rodeados por casi 400 invitados que aprovecharon el enlace para sacar del armario sus mejores galas. Entre los asistentes más esperados se encontraba, como siempre, doña Letizia, así como sus cuñadas, las Infantas Elena y cristina.

　　Las representantes de la Casa Real española, que en este tipo de eventos siempre suelen ser elegidas entre las más elegantes, no lucieron tan espectaculares como en otras ocasiones, excepto Doña Letizia, que fue el blanco de todas las miradas gracias al espectacular vestido azul por el que se decantó.

　　Aunque no deslumbró como cuando se decide por el rojo, la mujer de Don Felipe fue una de las invitadas más elegantes gracias a su vestido largo de corte asimétrico y de inspiración griega, muy adecuado para la ocasión y el lugar. En tonos azul cielo y con detalles de pedrería y plata, el diseño de la Princesa de Asturias fue uno de los más elegantes y más comentados de la ceremonia.

　　Aunque por el momento se desconoce quién es el diseñador que lo firma, este vestido, muy del estilo de Marchesa, probablemente haya sido creado por su diseñador fetiche, Felipe Varela. (Esperaremos atentamente a que el modisto vuelva a exponer en su escaparate de Madrid la réplica exacta del modelo).

　　Para el peinado, Letizia optó por dejar su melena suelta y se maquilló en tonos muy naturales, completando un look perfecto para esta ‘gran boda griega’.

　　Si la relación entre Letizia y sus cuñadas ya parecía tensa antes del enlace, probablemente su desfile en la boda de Nicolás y Tatiana no haya conseguido suavizar las cosas. Las Infantas, que nos tenían acostumbrados a deslumbrar con sus modelos -en la boda de Victoria de Suecia fueron dos de las más elegantes-, esta vez no convencieron con sus respectivas elecciones.

　　Mientras la mujer de Iñaki de Urdangarín optó por un vestido-túnica de estampado de flores grandes en color blanco y negro de Jesús del Pozo -poco apropiado para una boda veraniega-, Elena cambió su maravilloso traje de goyesca de la boda sueca por un vestido de rayas en tonos pastel y una torera en color rosa palo. La Reina Sofía, por su parte, apostó por un favorecedor traje rojo español con bolero de encajes.

　　LAS DEMÁS INVITADAS

　　Entre las demás invitadas al evento, destacó la elegancia de otra recién casada, Victoria de Suecia, quien optó por un vestido en color coral de corte imperio que le favorecía mucho. Su hermana Magdalena, por su parte, se volvió a decidir por un vestido largo en tono verde pastel, tal y como suele hacer en todas sus apariciones públicas.

　　Impresionante hacía su aparición Rosario Nadal con un vestido largo en color nude que combinó con unos altísimos ‘peep toes’ dorados de Christian Louboutin.

　　Por este color se decantó también la siempre elegante Marie-Chantal Miller, mujer de Pablo de Grecia, quien combinó su sencillo vestido de corte recto con un impresionante mantón bordado de flores.

　　Los vestidos estampados también tuvieron su protagonismo en esta boda griega. Aparte del vestido que lució la Infanta Elena, Máxima Zorreguieta y Mary Donaldson también se decantaron por los estampados de flores, mucho más apropiados para la ocasión.

　　At the Hollywood premiere of “Going the Distance,” there seemed to be one somewhat awkward question everyone had for the movie’s stars Drew Barrymore and Justin Long: What’s it like to work with someone you’ve had an on-again, off-again romantic relationship with?

　　”Awful, just awful,” Barrymore deadpanned on the red carpet Monday night.

　　”I wouldn’t say awful,” Long chimed in. “I’d say ‘meh.’ M-e-h, if you need to quote me. No, it was great.”

　　The movie, in which the pair play a couple who become entangled in a long-distance relationship, is rated R — giving the film an edginess that was intentional, Barrymore said.

　　It’s a “romantic comedy that’s more real and more adult and not sort of based in necessarily a fairy-tale setting, even though I love those movies,” she said.

　　Long described it more succinctly: “It’s not schmaltzy.”

　　Christina Applegate, who plays the sister of Drew’s character in the movie, said the two were …

　　…nothing but professional on set.

　　”I mean, they’re really good friends,” the actress said. “But at the end of the day, they’re both professionals, and I wouldn’t know if they had ever been together or not, because kind of I think they would [have chemistry] regardless.”

　　Applegate, who recently got engaged and is also pregnant, stood teetering in a pair of high heels which she said she was yearning to take off.

　　”I love that all these things are happening–I’m really happy for Drew and Justin and everybody, but I’m telling you, I cannot wait for all of this to be done,” she admitted. “I can’t wait for Friday when I don’t have to be this person for just a minute. Because being pregnant and doing all this is a little bit of work.”

　　Also on the carpet were funny guys Jason Sudekis and Charlie Day, who play the buddies who cast doubt on Long’s long-distance relationship. At one point, Day — who plays Long’s roommate — even provides the musical accompaniment for his friend’s intimate date by “DJing his hookup” through the walls of their apartment.

　　It’s not something the comedian has ever tried in real life.

　　”I’ve DJed my own hookups,” he said.

　　His song of choice?

　　”It has to be, just, uh — like real, like …, ” he said, searching for words. “Real dark, you know, hard core, angry, um, German yodeling. It’s a weird niche. You can find it. It takes a lot of Internet searching, but you’ll find it. It’s out there.”
